How do I read the responsibility of a joint borrower?
Find the clauses describing each named borrower's obligation.
The way people divide payments informally may differ from what the lender can require under the agreement.
Ask for clarification before signing if the liability is unclear. A planned split between friends or partners does not amend the provider's contract unless an approved arrangement says so.

Definitions
- Total repayable
- Sum payable under the stated schedule and its assumptions; contingent charges and changes must be considered separately.
- Amount received
- Money actually made available to the borrower, which can differ from the stated loan amount if a charge is deducted.
